Not only will you gain the qualifications you need to become an effective outdoor professional, but you will also learn the skills required to be a part of the outdoor adventure industry for your entire career.
Focused workshops covering practical aspects of risk assessments, operating procedures, insurance, equipment maintenance, child protection, safeguarding, hazard awareness, incident management, team building, command tasks and leadership are also part of your training with us. We train you to be professional adventure instructors/guides and coaches.
You will be trained to the highest standards that will allow you to become a part of a select group of Adventure specialists who are respected worldwide.
We have a proven track record of delivering AT as well as producing professional instructors who are employed far and wide.
The course allows ample opportunity to consolidate your training and in your spare time, being based in the heart of Newquay, Cornwall, you are in the very best location, walking distance to 7 surf filled beaches, including the world-famous Fistral Beach, the UK's top outdoor skatepark Concrete Waves, and of course being a surfing mecca, all the surf shops, surf events and gigs you can handle!

Application Process
You do not need to hold any previous qualifications to enroll in this programme. Nor do you have to be proficient in the course activities.
However, you will need to be fit and able to cope with vigorous exercise, have excellent leadership and communication skills as well as being passionate about the Coastal environment. It goes without saying that you need to be able to swim.
The course includes training/assessment as well as shadowing hours to enable you to instruct in a variety of areas and leads to direct employment and further training opportunities, depending on your interests and abilities.
After the Course
After successful completion of this course, you will have the opportunity to become one of our team or you may go on to work with other providers to further your experience and training.
