Mark Kelly

 

From an early age Mark has been passionate about outdoor activities and the ocean.

 

He started his outdoor career as a voluntary instructor aged just 16, and since then he has worked all over the world with groups from every conceivable background and age as well as studying for a Higher National Diploma in Outdoor Education and a BSC (Joint Hons) in Outdoor Education and Environmental Science.

 

He is a multi qualified, highly experienced and active practitioner in both land and water sports, delivering coaching, guiding, instructing and training in several disciplines.

 

In his role at Four Elements Adventure Mark runs day to day activities, oversees operations as well as delivering training and assessments in Beach Lifeguarding, First Aid, Kayaking, Coasteering, Sea Survival, Stand Up  Team Building and Bushcraft.

Mark is a Trainer & Assesor for the RLSS, SLSGB and the ISKGA as well as being the latter's Ocean Safety Representative.

Pete Greening

 

Pete has been climbing and mountaineering for 30 years.

 

His experience is extensive, and ranges from climbing on the sea cliffs of Cornwall to summiting Himalayan giants. 

 

He has led many highly successful climbing courses in the UK, and expeditions abroad. In 1997 he led a highly successful expedition to Canada, making the first British servicmen ascent of the celebrated SE Face of the Lotus Flower Tower, in the Cirque of the Unclimbables. A feat he describes as his finest achievement.

 

For the past 7 years, Pete has worked in the outdoor industry full time. He is a Technical Adviser of climbing activities and heads up the climbing elements of the Internship/Instructor Training Programmes.

 

He is a Mountain Training Course Director for Single Pitch Award(SPA)/Climbing Wall Award (CWA) / Lowland Leader Award courses, and regularly guides clients up multi-pitch climbs on Cornish sea cliffs.

Rhys Jon

 

Rhys is  an ISA Level 2 surf coach that also works as a lifeguard at the busiest beaches in Newquay and Perranporth. 

In the last few years Rhys has been a very active  SLSGB Beach Lifeguard Trainer / Assessor, helping many young lifeguards kickstart their careers, and now he is working towards achieving his paramedic qualifications, to further develop his own career.

 

He has just completed his Level 4 FREC ( First Response Emergency Care) - (Emergency Care Assistant) and  is working towards a level 3 award in Education and Training.

 

This winter he is off to chase the sun and surf in Australia and is hoping to gain lots more experience down under in advanced emergency care.

 

We are looking forward to having him back in Cornwall for the 2018 summer season and beyond!

William Cake

 

Willy is the youngest member of the team but already highly experienced.

 

 

He is passionate about the natural environment, the sea, loves to surf and being at the beach.

 

 

Willy has worked as a beach lifeguard with both the highly respected French SNSM and the RNLI and is a SLSGB Trainer / Assessor.

 

 

He is based in France where he is a swim coach and lifesaving teacher, as well as delivering First Aid courses in schools.
