BEACH LIFEGUARD COURSES
Become qualified to save lives in or around the sea.
Are you ready for the adventure of a lifetime?
Do you have what it takes to become a Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) lifeguard?
Our intensive, industry-leading training courses offer you the opportunity to undertake the National Vocational Beach Lifeguard Qualification (NVBLQ) and equivalent ILS Beach/Surf Lifeguard qualifications recognized by the International Life Saving Federation, so you can work anywhere in the world.
Our courses take place at the beautiful, award-winning Newquay Activity Centre, located right in the heart of Newquay. The location couldn't be more breathtaking, we are talking crystal clear waters and golden sands of the beach. Newquay beaches are protected from most winds and boast excellent surf conditions, making it the perfect place to hone your skills.
Our training team is second to none, featuring experienced paramedics, serving RNLI lifeguards, professional ocean sports coaches, and even pro surfers.
We have all bases covered to provide you with the most comprehensive course possible.
And as an added bonus, all successful candidates will have the opportunity to shadow experienced professionals and an interview for work this season in activities such as coasteering and surfing with our associates, Newquay Activity Centre and the Wave Garden in Bristol!
A Beach Lifeguard course consists of approximately 40 hours of training, including modules on beach lifeguarding, life support, first aid, ocean skills, and pool skills. It's physically demanding and requires a high level of fitness, including being able to swim to set times and lift heavy objects.
Upon completing the course, you'll be assessed to ensure you have the skills and knowledge necessary to work as a beach lifeguard. So if you're ready to embark on this exciting journey and make a difference in your community, don't hesitate to apply!
