COASTEERING GUIDE TRAINING
Next Course March 24th & 25th 2023

Coasteering Guide Training, do you have what it takes?

The goal of this course is to equip aspiring Coasteering Guides with the necessary skills to lead groups in coasteering activities.

By the end of the course, you will have a well-defined plan to improve your performance in this field. This program is ideal for individuals who already possess experience in coaching, instructing, and guiding in the outdoors and who are interested in exploring the ins and outs of Coasteer Guiding.

If you're already involved in adventurous outdoor activities or lifeguarding, then becoming a fully trained coasteering guide could be your next adventure! And what better place to do it than in Cornwall, where the stunning coastline offers the perfect backdrop for your training.

Our Coasteering Guide training course is the perfect opportunity for you to become a competent coasteering guide. With the guidance of the UK & Ireland's most experienced Coasteering providers, this course is designed to give you the essential skills, technical knowledge, and physical capabilities required to safely manage any coasteering session.

We understand that your love of the water is essential, and your outdoor experience in kayaking, Stand Up Paddling, surfing, lifeguarding, or climbing will give you an excellent head start.

During this 2-day intensive course, you'll learn from highly experienced industry experts, paramedics, and rescue boat crew. The course follows the National Coasteering Charter (NCC) guidelines and the National Water Safety Forum's best practice guidance, ensuring that you're equipped with the essential skills and knowledge to confidently run coasteering sessions. From group leadership to managing a group, from delivering a safety brief to route planning, from rescue to incident management, we'll cover everything you need to know.

The course typically takes place at our exceptional range of coasteering sites on the Cornwall peninsular. However, if you have a group of instructors or a specific training venue, we can bring the course to you, nationally or internationally.

After completing the course, aspiring guides may choose to enhance their skills by shadowing and assisting during live coasteering sessions, as well as receive site-specific training at each venue where they plan to lead groups before becoming a lead guide, all of which we can offer to you post course, with our partners, Newquay Activity Centre.

It's important to note that this coasteering guide training program is conducted in accordance with NCC (National Coasteering Charter) guidelines and is not an official NCC training course, however, it can be used as evidence of RPL to present for NCC guide assessments which we can organise for you.

If the sounds like the challenge you're after get in touch ASAP and we will look after you!
